Alabama Tops Maryland Again, 3-0
The Alabama Yellowhammers got an exceptional performance from starter Tony Trejo, who silenced the Maryland offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 2 of the Wildcard Series today. The Bridegrooms could never get a bead on the right-handed Trejo, who threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The Yellowhammers now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Trejo earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Alabama. The native of Nueva Paz, Cuba, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 8. Maryland hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Trejo told the Alabama News.

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Bridegrooms Stadium in Baltimore.
