Already down in the Wildcard Series, the Maryland Bridegrooms put on their best show, beating the Alabama Yellowhammers by a final score of 3-0 today. Nathan Stone was special. He threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. Maryland now trails Alabama 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

The Yellowhammers had little chance against Stone, who overpowered Alabama hitters and struck out 14.

"Postseason wins taste oh so sweet," said Stone after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bridegrooms Stadium in Baltimore.
