Burke Blasts Yellowhammers, Bridegrooms Take Game 4, 8-3
The Maryland Bridegrooms defeated the Alabama Yellowhammers, 8-3 in Game 4 of the Wildcard Series today. Making an impact was first baseman Art Burke, who went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win moves Maryland into a 2-2 tie with Alabama in the series.

The Bridegrooms took a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Facing Alabama hurler Giel Wiegman with two outs, Burke hit a 3-run home run.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Burke.

Game 5 is scheduled for Thursday at Madison County Grounds in Huntsville.
