Duarte, Yellowhammers Sink Blue Pirates Again in Game 2
Riding the 3-hit performance of catcher Manny Duarte, the Alabama Yellowhammers got a road win against the Ontario Blue Pirates, 10-3, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series today. Duarte hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Yellowhammers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

The Yellowhammers took a 10-3 lead in the top of the ninth inning. Facing Ontario hurler Josh Wallace with two outs, Duarte hit a grand slam home run.

"We're happy," Duarte told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Madison County Grounds in Huntsville.
