Moya Delivers Walk-Off Win for Bridegrooms
|
The Maryland Bridegrooms scored a tight 2-1 win versus the Pennsylvania Railroaders at Bridegrooms Stadium. Maryland pitcher Nathan Stone held his own in the contest. The winner in relief was Ruud Bik. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Pennsylvania falls to 1-1.
The Bridegrooms procured the win, in large part because of shortstop Juan Moya. In the bottom of the 21st, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Stone said.
