Outlaws, MacBeth Pin Bad Loss on Aviators

The Texas Outlaws beat the North Carolina Aviators, 10-2, at Lowe's Field at Bojangles' Stadium. Don MacBeth, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Josh Bang, the winning pitcher, is now 1-1. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while fanning 2 and walking 2. With the win, Texas goes to 4-2.
Dave Gonzalez had a big 2-run home run for the Outlaws in the top of the fourth inning. With Texas trailing 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a forkball from 2068 Rookie of the Year winner Adam Capehart and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Outlaws on top, 3-2.
"You can't sugarcoat this one," said North Carolina manager Rob Chapman. "They pounded us."
