Ontario Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Farmers Market Stadium was rocking after an exciting Blue Pirates win.
The Washington Resonance got a superb performance from pitcher Kyler Rhea. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Ontario. The Blue Pirates won the game, 4-3. Rhea threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The winner was Ontario reliever Adrian Trites, now 1-1. The loser was Steve Lazenby.
The Blue Pirates procured the win, in large part because of third baseman Mike Freemann. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Freemann.
The Resonance fall to 7-9 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2065 season.
