Texas Gets 6-5 Win
|
The Texas Outlaws and North Carolina Aviators completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Behind a fine performance from Mike Dunfee, the Texas Outlaws knocked off the North Carolina Aviators, 6-5. Dunfee was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs for the Outlaws. Riemer van Uffelen, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 9. His record now stands at 2-0.
Eric Malvern, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Malvern contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put Texas up, 3-0.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Dunfee said after the game.
North Carolina, at 4-12, is off to a poor start in 2065.
