Mallards Need Extra Frames to Get Past Lions
Minnesota rode a fine outing from starter Brian McGruder to victory over the Kentucky Lions at Dylan Park at Hennepin. The final score was 2-1. Minnesota is now 13-7.

The Mallards procured the win, in large part because of left fielder José Villarreal. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Villarreal.
