Mallards Win 4th Straight, Take Down Lions, 2-0
|
The Minnesota Mallards picked up a win at Dylan Park at Hennepin, knocking off the Kentucky Lions, 2-0. On the mound for Minnesota was right-hander José Noriega, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the loss, Kentucky sinks to 10-11.
The Mallards got a big at-bat from second baseman Jesus Vasquez. For the game, Vasquez was 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Minnesota a 1-0 lead.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Noriega told the Minnesota Today.
