Railroaders Deal Lions Painful Loss
The Pennsylvania Railroaders faced a tough opponent in Kentucky pitcher Raul Arvelos, but did just enough to pull out the victory at PNC Park by a final score of 3-2. Arvelos went 8 innings and allowed no runs. The win was credited to Mike Gómez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ichiro Koyama took the loss. The Lions fall to 13-16 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Rich Almonte was the walk-off hero for Pennsylvania. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Railroaders pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Almonte said after the game.
