Mallards, Villarreal Pin Bad Loss on Warhawks
Minnesota right fielder José Villarreal had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Illinois Warhawks, 10-1. The winning pitcher was Willie Salazar. He tossed 111 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits. The Mallards, now 22-10, have been playing some good baseball.

With Minnesota leading 3-1 in the top of the second, Villarreal hit a fastball from Stephen Brennan for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Mallards ahead, 6-1.
