New Jersey Gets Another L
Another game, another loss for the struggling New Jersey Athletics.

The performance of Roman Wagner proved critical in helping Pennsylvania beat New Jersey, 8-3. The Railroaders left fielder was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winning pitcher was Jason Toth. He tossed 84 pitches over 7.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits.

With Pennsylvania leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Wagner hit a fastball from Jeff Beigel for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Railroaders ahead, 3-0.

"This game is going to humble you at times and you've got to man up and deal with it," said New Jersey manager Mike Trigwell.

The slumping Athletics have lost 8 straight.
