Colorado took on Texas in front of a lively crowd.

Derek Smith left his imprint on the 9-4 Colorado win against the Texas Outlaws. Smith went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Colorado reliever Nick Arnold was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Andy Armstrong.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Simon Lang came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Texas pitcher Andy Armstrong, he hit a 1-1 curveball for a solo home run. It was a game-changer, putting Colorado on top, 5-4.
