Railroaders Suffer 5-2 Setback
The Alabama Yellowhammers picked up a win at Madison County Grounds, knocking off the Pennsylvania Railroaders, 5-2. On the mound for Alabama was left-hander Ronman Tierney, who played a pivotal role in the win. Reliever Jeff Price picked up the win. His record improves to 2-4. Jonathan Boehlke took the loss. Alabama is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Alabama second baseman Ken Foster said he was just trying to make contact when he came to bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the eighth. He did more than that -- Foster hit a 3-run home run to stake Alabama to a 5-2 lead. His 11th home run of the season came off Pennsylvania pitcher Jonathan Boehlke.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Tierney. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
