|
The New Jersey Athletics picked up a win at Johnson & Johnson Field, knocking off the Pennsylvania Railroaders, 3-0. Starting pitcher Éric Rossi played a key role in the triumph. Rossi went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 4-0. The Athletics saw their record improve to 25-18.
Making an impact for the home team was Markus Deacon. In the bottom of the eighth, the two-time All-Star had a 2-run double. That made the score 3-0, Athletics.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Rossi told the New Jersey Gazette.
