Minnesota Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Minnesota Mallards withstood a fine game by Ohio right fielder Max Adams at Dylan Park at Hennepin, to upend the Knights, 6-5. Adams was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Minnesota now sits at 17-28, while Ohio falls to 22-23.
Steve McNutt was the walk-off hero for Minnesota. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mallards shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said McNutt.
