Explorers Suffer 4-2 Loss to Washington
|
The Washington Resonance got a stellar effort from pitcher Nadir Shirazi, helping Washington score a win over the visiting Oregon Explorers, 4-2. Shirazi picked up the win for Washington, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-4. Masanori Hayashi closed the game out for Washington, earning his 15th save.
The Resonance scored in the bottom of the sixth when Matt Guidry hit a run-scoring double to make the score 2-1, Washington.
"It feels good to get this one," Shirazi told the Washington Citizen.
Washington is now riding a 3-game win streak.
