New York beat Pennsylvania on the strength of starting pitcher Lupe Romero's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 9-3. Today's win puts New York at 29-33, while Pennsylvania falls to 30-32.
Brian Leivan had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the third for New York. With the bases loaded and the Empire leading 1-0, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
