8-5 Triumph Takes Minnesota to 53-16
Keith Newsom left his imprint on the 8-5 Minnesota win against the New Mexico Danger. Newsom, who is tied for 10th in the FL in extra base hits with 29, went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Marc Umland was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 22 save opportunities. The win for the Mallards raised their record to 53-16.

Early in the game, Newsom had a 2-run home run for Minnesota. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Mallards on top, 2-0.
