5 Straight Wins for Bears
Getting a good performance from first baseman R.J. Wittman, the Colorado Bears defeated the Idaho Steelheads, 9-6. Wittman was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for the Bears. Bill Irvine earned the save for Colorado, his 4th of the year. Idaho has now lost 5 consecutive games.

Bobby Harris came through with a big-time hit for Colorado. The third baseman smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 9-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Wittman, "and then get after it again."
