The Kentucky Lions topped the North Carolina Aviators, 5-4, in Patriot League action at Lions Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kentucky pitcher Iván Morales. Derek Davidson collected save number 1. Kentucky is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The Lions got a big at-bat from third baseman Joey Pearson. For the game, Pearson was 1 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Kentucky a 5-2 lead.
