New Jersey Makes It 6 Straight with 4-2 Win
New Jersey Athletics starter Jeremy Mastin was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Pennsylvania Railroaders, 4-2. Jim Schlenker, now 3-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. New Jersey has now won 6 straight.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Dan Hone had a chance to end it. Pennsylvania pitcher Lysander Kalergi had other ideas. But with one out, Hone hit a 2-run home run. The Athletics had the win.

"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Mastin. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
