The Indiana Vipers picked up a win at Duck Dome, knocking off the California Mallards, 7-6. Starting pitcher Jim Hodges was an essential part of his team's success. At 29-34, the Vipers find themselves in third place in the Frontier League East.

The Vipers got a big at-bat from second baseman Éric Lesage. For the game, Lesage went 3-5 with 3 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the tenth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Indiana a 7-6 lead.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Hodges, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
