|
North Carolina rode a good effort from starter Alfredo Sifuentes to beat the Maryland Bridegrooms at Bridegrooms Stadium. The final score was 3-1. Kei-thing Yang picked up the save, his 4th. Maryland's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Juan Olivas, the 28-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Olivas contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put North Carolina up, 2-1.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Olivas told the North Carolina Citizen.
