Ohio Knights starter Bob Turner was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the New York Empire, 4-2. The winning pitcher was Turner, now 1-4. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7. Jake Rittler was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 7 save opportunities.
Bobby Burchell, who finished 5th in the PL in stolen bases with 59 last year, helped out the Ohio cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the center fielder went 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Burchell said.
The last-place Knights go to 29-36.
