Resonance Defeat Steelheads, 3-1
|
The Idaho Steelheads went down to defeat to Gerald Dekker and his Washington teammates. The final score was 3-1 in favor of the Resonance. Dekker, now 5-1, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. With the win, the Resonance have a record of 32-35.
The Resonance got an important contribution from right fielder David Evans, who in the bottom of the third punched a 2-2 forkball into right for a solo home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Resonance ahead, 2-0.
"Feels good to get the job done," Evans said after the game.
