Quintana Sensational for Danger
|
The New Mexico Danger topped the Illinois Warhawks, 3-1, in Frontier League action at The Danger Zone. The standout performance belonged to New Mexico pitcher and Mexico City, Mexico, native Mario Quintana. Justin Wright earned the save for New Mexico, his 17th. New Mexico, at 40-27, is 3 games up in the Frontier League East.
Quintana, who was born in Mexico City, Mexico, threw 96 pitches over 7.2 innings, while allowing no runs.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Illinois skipper Steven Luker, "and it cost us."
