Steelheads Paste 3-2 Loss on Resonance
|
Idaho and Washington played a hard-fought contest.
The Idaho Steelheads picked up a win at The Boom Box, courtesy of Tim Gibson. The right-hander helped his team stop the Washington Resonance, 3-2. Gibson picked up the win for Idaho, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 6-4.
Leonardo Santamaria, the 28-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Santamaria contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Idaho up, 3-0.
Afterward, Steelheads manager was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
Idaho occupies second place in the Frontier League West at 38-31.
