|
California left fielder Jordan Taylor had a good game, even if his team did not. The Bulldogs dropped a 5-2 decision to Minnesota at Dylan Park at Hennepin. Taylor went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Brian McGruder earned the win for Minnesota. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 3-4. Ben Kaiser earned the save, his 7th, for the Mallards.
Wai-ho Zhai hit a 2-run double off Tim Crossley in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Mallards in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Zhai had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
