Behind an impressive start by Jorge Maldonado, Arizona beat Alabama, 2-0. Jonathan Boehlke converted his 17th save in 17 tries. With the victory, the Vipers upped their record to 42-28.
Maldonado allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings for the Vipers. He walked 1 and struck out 2.
