Knights Lose to Lions, 7-6
Huntington Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Kentucky Lions and the Ohio Knights.

Kentucky left-hander Lou Best made an effective start against the Ohio Knights at Huntington Park, leading his team to a 7-6 win. Best, now 6-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs.

The Lions got a big at-bat from third baseman Roger Peck. For the game, Peck was 1 for 4 with a triple. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Kentucky a 1-0 lead.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Peck.

Kentucky improves to 47-25 with the win. They lead their division by 3 games.
