Lions Get Past California for 11-10 Win
The Kentucky Lions beat the California Mallards, 11-10 at Lions Stadium, in part due to third baseman Roger Peck, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win was Joe Mulder's in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Rodrigo Herrera took the loss for California. Kentucky is now 49-25, 4½ games up in the Frontier League East.

José Rodríguez hit a 2-run double off Rodrigo Herrera in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Lions in front, 11-10. In addition to the double, Rodríguez had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

California manager expressed his frustration after the game: "That many runs and it still wasn't enough?"
