Knights Suffer 7-4 Home Defeat
|
The Kentucky Lions topped the Ohio Knights, 7-4, with youngster Jose Jaramillo playing a key role. Jaramillo went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 3 walks for the Lions in the win. Benvenuto Coriolano closed it out for Kentucky, earning his 22nd save. The first-place Lions have a one-game lead in their division.
Kentucky used a clutch at-bat from Sam Sinclair to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Lions ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Sinclair told the Kentucky Observer.
