Resonance Tag Explorers with 4-2 Loss
|
The Washington Resonance picked up a win at Multnomah Stadium, knocking off the Oregon Explorers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Mike Aviles played a key role in the triumph. Washington has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
The Resonance got a big at-bat from right fielder David Evans. For the game, Evans went 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Washington a 3-1 lead.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Washington manager Larry Gomberg.
