Empire Suffer 4-2 Home Defeat
|
The Kentucky Lions picked up a win at The Empire, dropping the New York Empire, 4-2. Raul Arvelos, who won the Most Valuable Pitcher in 2064, was the difference-maker. The victory gives the Lions a record of 48-33.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Nick Annear? The Kentucky third baseman had a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put the Lions on top, 3-2. For the game, Annear had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Kentucky manager Zach Larson.
