Bridegrooms Win at New Jersey, 5-3
|
Maryland picked up a win at Johnson & Johnson Field, toppling the New Jersey Athletics, 5-3. Pitcher Ron Dujardin was one of the reasons the Bridegrooms triumphed. Dujardin picked up the win for Maryland, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 11-4. Joe Dalton earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
Maryland relied on the hitting of Carlos Espinoza to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Bridegrooms on top, 2-0. For the game, Espinoza had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
