Fans who congregated at Meta Park at the Dog House were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Texas Outlaws topped the California Bulldogs, 7-3, in 13 innings. Texas catcher Pat Gulla, in particular, was impressive. He went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Texas pitcher Vinny Barron got the win, upping his record to 5-3. John Holden got the loss.

Gulla had a game-changing home run in the top of the 13th. On a full count fastball from Zack Haag, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Outlaws a 7-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Gulla.

"Exciting game to play in," said Gulla. "Getting the win makes it even better."

The victory gives Texas a record of 44-40.
