Arizona Rallies Past California, 3-2
|
The Arizona Vipers got a stellar effort from pitcher Greg Medici, helping Arizona score a win over the visiting California Bulldogs, 3-2. Jonathan Boehlke, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities. With the victory, the Vipers record now stands at 51-38.
Jose Moreno, who is tied for 8th in the FL in runs scored with 42, contributed to the Arizona win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"This was a tough loss," said California manager Brett Williams. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
