Resonance Snag 3-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring game between the Washington Resonance and the Minnesota Mallards, pitcher Kyler Rhea was masterful on the mound. The Washington right-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. Washington goes to 48-44, Minnesota to 51-41.
Washington needed the clutch hitting of David Evans to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Resonance on top, 3-1. For the game, Evans had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Washington manager Larry Gomberg.
