Georgia Wins, 7-4
|
Ethan Wilt made an impact in the 7-4 Georgia win over Ohio. Wilt, who finished 2nd in the PL in hits with 170 in 2063, was 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Morgan Stea was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Tim Allen. Ramon Nunez finished the game for Georgia and earned his 19th save.
Wilt had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-2 curveball from Tim Allen, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Titans a 6-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Wilt.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Wilt told the Georgia Citizen.
The defeat makes Ohio 46-48.
