Win Makes Empire 50-46
|
New York right-hander Nick O'Hara pitched his team to victory over the New Jersey Athletics at Johnson & Johnson Field. The final score was 3-2. Earning the save was Mark Davidson. He's now cashed in 21 of 24 save opportunities. With the win, New York pushed its record to 50-46.
New York used a well-timed hit by Michael Joy to capture the win. The shortstop socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Empire ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said New Jersey manager , "let me know."
