Ohio pitcher Masashi Kashiwabara did his part in helping his team beat the Pennsylvania Railroaders, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Kashiwabara, now 6-10, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Edwin Rubalcava, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.

Had Phil Bartel not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Bartel hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Knights.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Kashiwabara told the Ohio Daily News. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."

The Knights raised their record to 39-57.
