Medici Takes Chainsaw to Minnesota Bats in 3-1 Win
|
Greg Medici never let Minnesota get something going. The Arizona left-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Vipers to a 3-1 win. Jonathan Boehlke nailed down his 5th save. Arizona now has a record of 57-47 with the win.
Medici was effective against the Mallards, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The left-hander limited Minnesota to just 1 run on 3 hits over 8 innings.
"I got in a good groove," said Medici. "I was getting some swings and misses."
