Salgado Hits 2 home runs in Empire Win
The New York Empire bested the Kentucky Lions by a score of 4-3, with first baseman Tony Salgado getting the main credit. On the day, Salgado belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Empire. Mark Davidson earned his 26th save in 30 chances. The win for the Empire raised their record to 58-53.

Salgado hit a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first to help the New York cause. The home run, which was hit off Joel Augustus, allowed New York to take a 3-0 lead.
