Yellowhammers Nip Blue Pirates, 3-2

Alabama Yellowhammers starter Leveni Kioniko turned in a top-notch performance against the Ontario Blue Pirates at Madison County Grounds. The result was a win for the Yellowhammers, 3-2. The Yellowhammers lead the Patriot League South by 2 games.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Yellowhammers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the eighth, when right fielder Pablo Colunga hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Danny Chavez and made the score 3-2, Yellowhammers. Colunga was 1-4.
Ontario manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
