New York Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss
|
In a well-pitched game between the Washington Resonance and the New York Empire, pitcher Gerald Dekker was fantastic. The Washington right-hander helped his team secure the win, 1-0. The Resonance improve their record to 61-55 with the win over New York.
David Evans drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Washington. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Manny Moreno. It was his 31st walk of the season.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Evans.
