The Ohio Knights defeated the Kentucky Lions, 5-3. Doing his part was center fielder Bobby Burchell, who was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dave Utley got the win, improving to 11-10. He worked 6 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Jake Rittler notched his 16th save in 20 chances.

Ohio used a well-timed hit by Chris Craig to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Knights ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"This was a good win," said Burchell.

Ohio is now 53-72, Kentucky 60-65.
