Railroaders Drop Another One, 6-1
|
New York turned a good performance from starting pitcher Nick O'Hara into a 6-1 triumph over the Pennsylvania Railroaders at The Empire. Pennsylvania's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
Yuri Vijn had a big 2-run double for the Empire in the bottom of the fifth inning. With New York leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Leo Evans, who is tied for 7th in the PL in holds with 11, and swatted a double to left. It was his 41st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Empire ahead, 4-1.
"I just trusted my stuff," said O'Hara.
