Foster Hits 2 home runs in Yellowhammers Win
The Alabama Yellowhammers defeated the New York Empire, 6-2, at Madison County Grounds. Alabama second baseman Ken Foster had a superb performance. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Matt Hager picked up the win, improving his season record to 15-5. He struck out 4 in 7.1 innings. The win gives Alabama a season record of 68-63.

With Alabama leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Foster hit a fastball from Nick O'Hara for a 3-run home run. It was his 27th home run of the season and put the Yellowhammers ahead, 5-0.

"We'll put that win in the can," said Foster, "and go after the next one."
